About
I like understanding the whole picture behind a complex system: how the parts fit together, and why. The most satisfying part of this work is taking a hard problem and grinding it down to a clean solution, simplified as far as it will go. I’m a big fan of the KISS principle.
Most of my career has been spent on embedded systems across several industries, before I eventually moved into crypto. I have a love-hate relationship with that space. I love the technology and still see its potential, but I’m not fond of what much of the industry has become. It needs more original projects that bring the technology into the world, not thousands of copies of the same thing at varying levels of quality.
I also feel lucky to be living through a real turning point in history. Earlier generations had the moon landing and the computer boom; for us it is the rise of AI, which is as exciting as it is daunting.
My side projects and open-source work are below. For the professional story, see the experience page.
